the juno's
so i watched the last part of the junos held in winnipeg yesterday. I was kind of excited because it was like home for me. The set was cool, the singers were good (except for kalen porter (sp?) with his fiddle) and the host wasn't bad. But what was with the crowd? They weren't even into the performances! After being quite curious about why it was so dull, I started to notice the type of people in the front couple rows: middle aged to senior people. Like come-on! What the heck is this? Half of these people probably have never heard of Billy Talent, Sum 41, K-os and the like. The only group they probably knew was The Who and they weren't even that good! I dunno if maybe I have been watching to many Much Music Video Awards, MTV Awards or Teen Choice Awards but shouldn't you have screaming teenage fans in a mosh pit in front? It kind of seemed like we had a teen choice award performance with an oscar show type audience. It just didn't seem to work. And to think that this was winnipeg. this is where my home-boys are at. so lets just say i was a little dissappointed. oh well...its just the juno's i guess
