oh the monarchy...

On the day of the 2nd wedding of Prince Charles, people around the world but especially in the UK ask the question: do we need the monarchy? The Royal family has been plagued with bad publicity ever since the divorce of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. One more devasting scandal may cause Britains to become fed up with the ailing monarchy and get rid of it. Now I'm not suggesting that the monarchy should be rid of, but there are some possible scandals that can help them in blowing their chances with the British public:

  1. The illegitimate child - with the affairs that Prince Charles is having, it wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden the illegitimate showed up. What if he/she was older than Prince William? Could he or she become the next king/queen? Even better, considering the public won't even accept Camilla as queen, how would they react if the child was hers and heir to the throne?
  2. Prince William comes out of the closet - It's the only thing that hasn't happened to them yet! We've already seen love affairs, pot-smoking, nazi dressing, deaths/murders, and partying! Just imagine the millions of heart broken girls all around the world. The moral authority of the monarchy would completely be obliterated upon such an event. (Thanks to Marcella for this one)

Got any good ones? Feel free to drop them by. Peace.

the ad scandal - BOO LIBERALS!

Today, justice gomery released the publication ban on the testimony of Ad Executive Jean Brault. In his damning testimony, Mr. Brault describes how hundreds of thousands of dollars were illegally delivered in cash to the Liberal party in turn for governmental contracts. The people that were involved in these illegal activitites were some of Jean Chretien's closest friends and colleagues. This evidence undeniably supports the fact that the Liberal Party is corrupt and involved in illegal activities. I expect and hope that the Conservative and Bloc parties will collapse the government and force a new election. If the Liberals are forgiven and still voted into power after a new election is called, I will pretty much give up on any hope in politics in Canada and move to some foreign European country. I will also despise Ontarians for the rest of my life and never forgive them because of their stupidity in voting in and accepting a corrupt government (as it is only through Ontario that the Liberals actually have power). Today is a turning point for Canada, make the right choice. Or I will despise you forever and ever.

the juno's

so i watched the last part of the junos held in winnipeg yesterday. I was kind of excited because it was like home for me. The set was cool, the singers were good (except for kalen porter (sp?) with his fiddle) and the host wasn't bad. But what was with the crowd? They weren't even into the performances! After being quite curious about why it was so dull, I started to notice the type of people in the front couple rows: middle aged to senior people. Like come-on! What the heck is this? Half of these people probably have never heard of Billy Talent, Sum 41, K-os and the like. The only group they probably knew was The Who and they weren't even that good! I dunno if maybe I have been watching to many Much Music Video Awards, MTV Awards or Teen Choice Awards but shouldn't you have screaming teenage fans in a mosh pit in front? It kind of seemed like we had a teen choice award performance with an oscar show type audience. It just didn't seem to work. And to think that this was winnipeg. this is where my home-boys are at. so lets just say i was a little dissappointed. oh well...its just the juno's i guess
